I'm not talking your usual vodka, gin, beer, wine alcohol, but drinks that are "alcoholic" versions.
Like Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer, and my recently discovered Hoopers alcoholic dandelion and burdock.
I'm just wondering if there's any point?
The dandelion and burdock was lovely, but it did taste just like dandelion and burdock -did I need the alcohol in there at all?!

to me, alco-pops are just marketing booze towards teenagers.

I think I'm missing the OP's point. It's a drink with alcohol in it that tastes nice. Seems like a double win to me.

My favourite is an Angostura Lemon Lime & Bitters, the best beach booze on the planet.

Plus, making alcohol drinks appealing to those with a sweet tooth is hardly a new idea, cocktails (alco-pops) in various forms have been around for hundreds of years.

The main effect I noticed with alcoholic iron brew was that it made me bounce around like a hyperactive toddler with a pint of espresso on board.
I might go and get some more...:hyper:
