.... but, frankly, too lazy :headshake:

I have a mint, B&D drill stand c/w really neat machinist-vice. A swish variable speed drill....
With all that, you might imagine I could easily drill a 2.5MM clear hole for a bike brake cable - straight through a bolt with a 'flatt' filed across the threads ?

No..... TOO DAMN LAZY to get all the gear out, I drilled the hole freehand [bolt held in a small hobby vice, clamped to a table edge] and snapped the drill bit off, when it broke through:thumbsdown:

IF yerr gunna dooit >> dooit rite

*just had 10pack of 2.5MM HSS drills drop through the letterbox.

Welcome to bodgers corner.

We've all done similar, too idle to take the top tray off the toolbox to get the hammer from the bottom, give whatever it was a whack with the ratchet spanner instead and watch as it disintegrated in my hand.

Of bodging, many years ago, my now late ex-wife used my prize Zippo lighter to bang some nails into the wall to hang some pictures up because she couldn't remember where the hammer was. To say that I wasn't best pleased would be a serious understatement - ! :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:
