All year road bike

So knocked off my bike today and hoping to sting the driver for a new bike.

Want something fast and sporty which will ride well in both summer and winter commuting. Drops and normal brakes. Mudguards and racks or at least mounts for them.

Budget up to £1000, maybe a bit more. Like the look of the Kinesis TK3 but can't seem to find anywhere to buy a built up one. Tifosi CK7 maybe? Ribble Winter Audax?

Any reviews/other recommendations?

Sounds like you want a cyclocross bike, such as a CAADX.

Where in the country are you @ManiaMuse ? I had to go to Glasgow to get my Kinesis (Billy Bilsland are dealers), great winter bike without losing to much sportyness so you can easily take the gaurds of it and use it all year round. I was gutted in a wee way when I was knocked of it was on my cheap Viking Fixie and I couldn't sting them too much a month later my Kinesis I noticed a fatal crack on my kinesis

I'm in London so Glasgow is a bit of a trek without a car. What did you get the crack on your Kinesis from do you think? Normal riding or monster pothole?

I had done 24,500 miles on it in just over 3 years and had a couple of crashes on it in that time In the month or two before it failed I was repeatedly doing sprints over lumpy ground and it might have been compunded by that.
