I've taken delivery of a pulse jet and ignition system today.

In anticipation of the arrival of the pulse jet, I paid a visit to the technology department to check if they had a compressor to deliver a continuous air supply rather than an intermittent one from my track pump - they do

Then on my way out of the prep room/workshop, I spotted a large cabinet and on further examination, it turned out to be an A0 flatbed laser cutter.

I have a CD full of DXF files for classic C/L stunt planes and a shedful of balsa waiting to have all the bits that aren't destined to be model aircraft cut away.

Now it's a matter of creating a fuel system for the pulsej et and getting it mounted on a suitable chunk of wood for testing and rearranging the CAD drawings to fit the components onto 36" x 4" strips of balsa before pointing the laser cutter at them.

Woop woop! It's going to be a busy autumn. :hyper:

The torus at the top of the picture reminded me -

I'll have a 250kV Tesla coil to play with in January.

You just might get a video of two running - I've got some replacement spring steel 'petals' for my original red head Dynajet - just need to check if they fit.

Does n+1 apply to tesla coils and pulse jets too?
