Am I the the only person on the forum who gets woken up by pelotons at the weekend?

I do not need an alarm clock at weekends. I live on the Margueritrute in Denmark. It is a network of small roads that run throughout Denmark which are very scenic, and very popular with cyclists.

My bedroom window is 15 m from the roads and the peletons start coming past at about 8 am. I am laying here and the first thing I hear is the chatter and laughing, quickly followed by whirring of chains and wheels and finally a whoosh of wind as they pass by the window.

By the way, women chatter louder than men. I can hear them miles away.

This will go on until about 11am and then starts off again at about 6pm for an hour. It goes on all the way through the summer.

Im not complaining, its better than an alarm clock.
wanna swap? I live on a bus route that starts early and finishes late.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
We get sod all here. No bikes, no cwrs, no kids. I don't want to swap with anyone. (Looking very smug indeed).

Not peletons of roadies no, but yes to gaggles of mountain bikers and the men can be just as loud as the ladies...Children tend to be just as bad - the Duke of Edinburgh and Scouts groups, how they can get so lost when there is only one way to go is beyond me, but they manage it superbly. We also have a long bridge with a fantastic echo which is tested out routinely by people from about 6am in the morning through to it going dark. Then there is the brigade that think ringing their bells (to enter the tight right hand corner where it gets narrow) is going to work. Exactly how they think a dog is going to respond to their bell is beyond me but time and time again they ring it diligently... mind you the ramblers don't know what it is for either.... <rant over>

but the truth is now a days they are only waking me up after I am up... The alarm goes off at 6am every day of the week because I have medication to take at 8hr intervals no matter what  so no rest for the...

Oh and the train stops at 1am and restarts at 4am... Manchester to Chester line. Luckily there is only 1 train an hour in each direction.
