Am I wrong to ride on the sidewalk (pavement)

Has anyone spotted the 3rd deer, he is jumping in the trees at about 2:29.
If you get the chance deer steak is very good.

It's almost the opposite here, most of the year i ride mainly on the cycle paths, but if we ever do get a few inches of snow not only do they not get cleared at all, but as they go quite steeply under the roads, its quite hard to cycle up, so I end up on the 70mph dual carriageways where everyones crawling along at like 15mph.

When we have fresh, deep snow, I get onto the pavement for my commute. I'm not worried about my bikes abilities on the road - its actually slightly harder on the fresh snow on the pavement in some ways - but when you can guarantee seeing at least two or three drivers sliding gracefully through traffic lights, sometimes with a picturesque pirouette, I'd rather not put myself in front of them.
