Did my first full commute yesterday (23 miles each way). I've already done some 1/2 commutes (parking the car halfway) and have had my Airzounds for this time.

Anyway, I did use it for the first time the other day: not on WVM or a taxi or some errant car driver, but on 4-5 road bike riders (all of whom couldn't weigh more than 8 stone each dripping wet adorned with rap style jewellry) in full team kit with sunglasses who pulled out in front of me at the bottom of a hill. One of them just sort of glanced up to where I coming down at around 25mph and then all of them followed him like lemmings without even looking. I had to brake to avoid them, they had no idea I was there and I wasn't going to overtake them as there was a stop sign about 50 yards on anyway so I gave them a quick "beep" to let them know I was there. Mind you, then they all blew through the stop sign.

On the positive sign, I had about 3 kindly car drivers who waved me on at various junctions!

It's interesting in that in the past i rode with a group of more serious roadies, and gave up riding with them due to the fact they'd shoot through red lights and stop signs even with cars there -all in pursuit of that glorious average mph. From personal observation, I find a fairly accurate generalization is that the safest and most predictable riders seem to be cycle commuters or cycle tourers.

Nigeyy, I think you're right sometimes. Club riders can be awful bad sometimes. I had to airzound a cyclist today, although a neighbourhood youth staring blankly off to his right whilst cycling the wrong way down some temporary one way through roadworks on Brookmill Road.
