Search around on the forum and you will see lots of praise for the RT-58. They had a special on recently and a lot of people bought one. I think @vickster did, if I remember correctly.

Having both group sets, I'd say rival 22 is well worth the extra £100

Indeed, I am replacing the apex on the carbon with the 22 and the rt-58 flat bar is getting the apex

That's why I bought the bike. Rival 22 group set is around £350 minimum to buy and I was already considering it. That's why £500 was such a bargain

Top grade alloy v low end carbon. A decent weight, decent groupset and a good price reduction.

Tell me if there's anything wrong with it please. I know you can buy carbon for a few hundred quid more but isn't quality aluminuim as good as or even better than lower end carbon?

Not saying it ain't a good deal but how do we know or ascertain it is "top grade" alloy? It sounds like regular bike aluminium alloy to me.
