Another whats the right size bike question(giant defy)

Hello all. I have been thinking about treating myself to a giant defy 1 and just wondering about which size to go for..I'm just a smidgin over 5'7"..The giant website suggests i go for a small..Anyone out there got one and can give me some pointers..Cheers...

I'd wait for someone who has one - but generally the small would seem right for you. The top-tube of 53cms is ok and the effective seat tube looks to be around 52/54cms.

Sit on one. I am 5`11" and the M/L was the right size for me - I would have expected a L.
My local giant shop let me sit on some until I found the right size. It's too big a purchase to cock up on the basis of not making a trip to the closest stockist...

CNB, I'm taller at 5' 10" & I've a small Defy 2.5 and find that it's perfect for me. I've seen sizing advice on different sites telling me that I'm at the upper limit of S and others saying I should be on M.

I am 5'9 and have a medium, I could have adjusted a small to fit, but preferred the feel of the medium.

Get a small.

Thanks for the advice..The giants own chart suggests a size small would suit me best...I'll have to try and find one for a test ride...
