With the colder weather setting in, I'm considering a clothing upgrade!

My problem is wind-chill on the chest and shoulders. A waterproof jacket solves the problem but can be a bit too warm when it is not actually raining.

So, can anyone recommend a jacket, or maybe a material, that does the job?

That's what gilets are for! I have a lightweight one which I use from chilly to pretty warm conditions. I take it off in hot conditions and have to go for something more substantial in cold conditions.

This kind of thing. Add armwarmers if conditions are a bit colder and take them off later if you get too warm.

Anything made from gore windstopper fabric ,worth every penny
gilets are probably best as there easy to carry if you get too warm and remove them

I’ve got a really good Endura (ladies) jacket…think it’s called a Windchill! Add a wind proof gilet on top for more protection.

many other brands including Gore, Castelli etc offer wind stopper materials. A retailer like Sigma sports will have a decent range of ‘wind jackets’
