Any alternatives to 9-speed Shimano XT/Dura Ace chain worth considering?

Hi - I need to have a new set of wheels built, as my rims are worn out and the rear hub body needs replacing (which Hopetech are kindly replacing under warranty, even though I don't have a receipt, he front Schmidt Son 28 dynamo hub is perfectly, as ever, though, but the front rims are very worn), so thought I might as well replace the chain and cassette at the same time, as both are over 4 years old and the bike has done quite a high mileage.

I have a Hewitt Cheviot SE touring bike and the rear cassette is a 9 speed Shimano XT 11-34 one (with Campag shifters -it's a "Shimergo" setup...), but I was wondering whether there are any alternative chains worth getting to the standard Shimano 9-speed XT/Dura Ace one that are worth considering? I'm not so bothered about the price, just wondered if there is something better/more durable/rust-proof? Or should I just go with the Shimano chain?

Possibly. I run KMC on most of my bikes except the one that runs Dura Ace, that's on a Dura Ace chain. I still use a KMC quick link on the DA chain.
