Hello folks,i,m a returning member from a few years ago. Recently booked a crossing to Roscoff and planning to do the above route.Booked first night b/b at Carhaix plouger then on to La Foret Fouesnant for 3 days including some coastal day rides. We are on a variety of bikes, mountain bike, hybrid, and me on my new raleigh royal tourer.
Question, anyone used this route and and issues worth worrying about?

When riding from Roscoff to Carhaix try to take the very quiet D769 between Morlaix to Huelgoat. rather than the GR380 which can be a bit meandering in some sections.
It’s a great run, climbing gently to a ridge in the centre of the Parc Naturel Regional D’Armorique before descending into Huelgoat, an ancient town which is well worth an extended visit.

Also, from Carhaix try to jump on to the Nantes–Brest canal for at least a part of your route. The tow path is well maintained and fine for MTBs and most road bikes. The complete absence hills and traffic is an added bonus. Bon Route!

I rode from Roscoff to Carhaix Plouger on the first day of my first tour. (Link in my sig)
I went by road to Morlaix then picked up the Voie Vert to Carhaix. The route to Morlaix was straightforward and although I missed the VV at first, once on it, that was also a well marked easy route.

Thanks for the replies,we are staying in Huelgoat on the way back so may take the advise to try the D769 on return. How was the surface of the voie verte? Any news between Rosporden and Concarneau,i understand the route is due to be expanded. However, the roads are ok in that area,i know the area quite well, having a mobile home at La Foret Fouesnant.
