Well that was fun, not only having to cycle up hill, into a head wind and horizontal rain, but also had a river flowing down towards me as well, needed a boat's bow on the front of my bike this morning

Not too windy, but in place of horizontal rain, I got sleet!
As usual, the merest hint of inclement weather sends people into their cars in droves, with the result that approximately half of my commute consisted of me merrily twiddling past queues of stationary traffic.

Baaaaack on topic. Driving back from the in-laws in Londonvillage on the M25 on Saturday night was easily the worst rain I've ever driven in. At one point, some people were just giving up and pulling into the hard shoulder.

I knew a guy who used to paddle in half way in a kayak, hide it the bushes and ride the rest of the way in on an old clunker that he hid in self same bushes.

I got a canoe when I went in Costco. I only went in for 96 toilet rolls and a 3' pizza.

They always get you when you're not expecting it.
