Anybody know anything about video editing?

Bit of a long shot but I'm thinking of doing some simple tool training videos for work. I have a decent-ish camera but I'm looking for (free) software that will let an ignoramus like me edit different scenes then do a voice over. Any suggestions?

I use OpenShot to edit ride videos.

You can upload different clips, transition between them, cut bits out etc..

You can mute the video and add a separate soundtrack over the top. I find it fairly user-friendly & intuitive, and there are various how-tos on Youtube.

If you have an iDevice then iMovie does what you need.
