Anyone doing the Corrie?

I've been trying to get a team together, but without any joy.

Is anyone looking for someone to complete a team for the corrieyairack? Does anyone want to do it?

I want to do the Duathlon myself, so if anyone is purely doing the ride and wants to be in the team competition, I would be useless.... but otherwise post, PM me or anything.

Cheers

Isn't the Corrie the pass with a massive boulder field at the top where one must carry the bike? Or is I thinking of another pass?

Well go for it Stig. Looks like a good thing to do.

When I were a lad (70's) the Corrie was a mythical pass which was one of the pinnacles in the career of serious Rough Stuff devotees. That was well before MtB's. These Rough Stuff folks used ordinary road bikes with saddlebags etc.

Them were the days (apparently).

I'm doing it but already have another two team members. I did it last year, and I was seriously under-prepared for the mountain biking part. Erosion has made parts of the Corrie unrideable for all but the most technically able and fit riders and I don't fall into either of those two categories!

If you're running over the Pass it shouldn't be too bad, apart from the obvious issues with running 17 miles over a rocky Pass that goes up to 780 m..

I know that the user called gillan1969 has ridden the Corrie a few times and his team usually wins the MTB category!

Hi Stig - im craig.... the organiser of the Corrie! If you cant get a team then sign up as an individual - and we can allocate you a team - we have a few people in the same boat.

Allocated teams arent eligible for any of the prizes though!

Give me a shout if you want any more info!

Cheers
