Yeah, fabulous black eye, needed a bit of super glue, but at least I look nails.

Bike's a bit scraped, but only on bits that can be replaced. Glasses are mashed and jacket ripped, boo. An excuse to go shopping though...

Well, here's the scenario... road has two lanes going in one direction and one in the other. I was in the left hand lane of the two lane carriageway, traffic in that lane flowing freely, most of the traffic being cyclists. The right hand lane is full of stationary traffic. Approaching a small road joining carriageway on my left. Taxi driver in right hand lane waves van driver in other carriageway across our lanes to turn into the small road. Van pulls across in front of me, sees me at last minute and brakes ending up directly in front of me. I brake at the same time, bike hits van, I go over bars and face first into van. I guess I should have noticed him pulling across, but he should have looked too. Police weren't much help but ambulance guys were great and looked after my bike for me whilst I got my face glued back together.

If you were that hard you would have at least written the van off using just your jaw bone!!!

I am a tiny little woman and my face is broken. I thought I was fairly hard not to cry.

My eighty year old gran is only fourteen inches high but still regularly writes off HGVs with her forehead while out cycling.

Yeah, actually people were really great. Van driver and taxi driver both stopped, as did another cyclist who waited with me until the ambulance came.
