Hi All
I've got my C2W voucher due any day now and I've been very keen on going for a Trek Madone 2.1 but speaking to a guy in my LBS yesterday he was suggesting I'd perhaps be better off going for a Trek Domane 2.0. He suggested this because I'm commuting 30 miles a day, and in his opinion the extra comfort afforded by the IsoSpeed decoupler + fork over the Madone would be worth it.
The stock of the Domane appears to be very limited atm so I'm unlikely to be able to test ride one, so wondered if anyone had experienced one and thought it would be worth it over the Madone?
Is commuting on an alloy road bike going to be uncomfortable compared to my aging MTB to make me wish I had the Domane if I went for the Madone? :-/
As the IsoSpeed stuff costs, the spec of the Domane isn't quite as good and it's got Tiagra instead of 105 and doesn't have internal cable routing like the Madone. Not sure if that's a showstopper or not though as I'm not sure I'd notice the difference on the Tiagra, but I do like internal cable routing.
Cheers, Paul
