Sorry first post and a bit wet behind the ears - not even sure if this is the right place to put this, so apologies if not.

We want to get our son an Islabike and time/work restraints are making it difficult to get down there to have a look - plus Husband not all that keen on distance travelled!

Wondered if anyone was local to us that wouldn't mind us having a look at their Cnoc 14 and or 16.

My son is 4 and a half but seems like he is pretty short, or at least a short inside leg. I don't want to make the mistake and buy up so that it is too big, nor do we want to fork out all that money and it only last him 2 minutes. Am I right in that i should measure his inside leg with no shoes on?

Anyway sorry, if anyone has one - (we are SK6 postcode, Stockport, Greater Manchester) that they wouldn't mind us popping along to look at would be very much appreciated.

We are not cyclists ourselves (gulp) but he has a balance bike and I very much want to encourage him to be as active as possible and so want to get him a good bike that he wil ride because he can!

There are a few videos of my son on his Cnoc14 on my youtube channel.

He started riding it a few months after his third birthday. He's fairly tall for his age, but has widdly little legs just like his dad. We're in London (otherwise you could have a go), but you might get some good advice out of islabike themselves. I'd be a little surprised if the 14 isn't too small for him. The saddle is too low for Ted now, and his little sister is already eyeing it up.

I can't help with a bike - I didn't discover Islabikes until they were older, but I think you would measure the inside leg with shoes. I know when I did go to look at them expecting it to be too big based on my measurement (probably without shoes I suspect) he was actually just on the OK point.
