That was not exactly clear from your post . Especially as your last question was as to whether you should get a different frame!?

Yeah, probably could have been clearer. The roadlite has a very similar racy geometry with a slightly taller head tube.

I'll email cannondale and ask them about the bb in the 2300 caad8.

Not in the slightest.

BB30 is the answer to a problem that never existed, and has therefore not moved things forwards, (for anyone less than pro level), in any way shape or form.

CAAD 8 FWIW - IS a different frame in as much as it is 1.5 cm taller in the head tube & so more relaxed in fit but does however share all other geometry.

The Cdale site just says FSA Cartridge for the lower spec frames.

Got an answer on this, in case anyone is interested.

The 2300 model has a smaller BB shell, and the frame is indeed different.

Which actually works out better for me because I have a BSA sized GXP BB & cranks at home.

I have put a deposit down on the 2300 CAAD8 and a bike fitting (never had one of those before, so interested to see if it makes a difference). Will pick it up next weekend. New bike time is always exciting.
