Anyone sold/bought a car reg?

Thinking of selling a car reg. Has anyone ever done it? Is it straightforward? What kind of commission do the auctioneers take (do they all take the same?)? Are any firms better than others? What do you do once you've sold? Do you get given a new 'worthless' reg as a matter of course? Thanks.

Many years ago ...


think the plate went for £450 (NAT 9P), I got £250 of it

all done by the company

I jsut needed to go to local vehicle licensing people to check plate to VIN, then given a new reg document & then buy a new plate, no hassles,

the car only cost £450!


Can't remember the company, just one of older establised ones
