Just downloaded a Sufferfest thing. And it won't play on WMP. Any suggestions please? Now, I'm a computer Dummy so no complicated answers please

Ah, funny you should say that. Did as Sufferfest suggested and downloaded the vlc thing and have just finished removing all the extra rubbish & goodness knows what else that downloaded with vlc media player - even after unticking all the right little boxes. Can't seem to even get the vlc thing to work - told you I'm a complete nincompoop when it comes to all this!

never had a problem installing vlc on any PC or OS at home. We use it as a corporate standard tool too. It does crash occasionally when folk watch downloaded porn videos and the update process is more than a little clunky at times but it is a darned good tool.

Doesn't seem to, it appears on the playlist, just stubbornly won't play
What's the extension on the end of the filename i.e Sufferfest-angels.mp4 and what is the file size, should be big, like 1,831,820. Wondering if it's corrupt.

It's called TheHuntedIndividual.mp4, and 1,725,892 KB (in the same zipped folder there's a file called ._TheHuntedIndividual.mp4 with a size of 1KB. I did download it on a wireless computer (having then read on the Sufferfest site not to!)

Errrrrrrrrrrrr, I think so, if that was the 'extract' thing done
Extract, yes and you're pointing vlc at the extracted file not the one still in zipped file. If you can find another .mp4 file on your computer and vlc runs it (download one from t'internet if you don't have one), then your Sufferfest file is corrupt I reckon.

Okey dokey, I'll try another mp4 file and see what happens - that'll have to wait a mo as work calls, many thanks for all your help and hopefully I'll be Suffering soon - what am I saying!!!
