Apex 1 Shifter issues

1x and 2x RHS (rear) shifters are mechanically identical within the same design year/s. As you've already replaced cables & housings: check B-gap (critical on 1x, especially 10-spd and above) as cause of slow up-shifts, and hanger alignment. If alignment's significantly off then check mech for signs of impact; it's possible to distort mech linkage sufficiently to cause binding when in tension. Detach cable from rear mech and check for binding in the linkage at full stretch (simulating shifting to/from lower 2-3 gears. While cable is disconnected simulate mech-resistance by hand and check the shifter is indexing up and down. I've found the SRAM road shifting mechanicals to be relatively reliable, despite the apparent 'kinder egg' build quality; had far more issues with the hydro braking elements which, while fiddly, are possible to strip and rebuild to working order.
