Are these any good!?

Hey everyone
OK - I have been to my 2 closest LBS and the cheapest bikes I can find are £425. So, I have decided that I will get a cheap bike and promise myself a better one when I lose the weight (I need a goal!).

I am looking for a road hybrid for use mainly on roads, but there are loads of tracks round here.I have been to Hell-frauds and they have got 2 bikes which caught my eye (mainly due to price!).

Carrera Subway 2013 Hybrid - £199

• Would want to change tyres to something with less friction - possibly a 700c x 35??
• Might have to change handlebar grips to something a bit more lasting

I agree with Peter, having seen both bikes in the flesh, the Carrera is a better bike.
