Been a very "low level" cyclist for a few weeks now but decided to try the commute to work, a journey of 6.5 miles. A very doable distance for a portly middle aged fellow such as I.
Second commute in this morning resulted in my being faced with a mile or so tail back of traffic between Fair Oak and my destination so I took the bold step of filtering on the outside. I found myself riding with a huge grin thinking "that would normally be me stuck in that lot." I was as smug as a smug bloke who was really smug.
Should I
a) Be ashamed of myself for my feeling of wanton superiority?
b) Be proud of my personal accomplishment and be as smug as damn well please?
