AVG Toolbar - how to remove it?

I recently updated my AVG free antivirus to version 8.5 and during the installation I inadvertantly forgot to untick the AVG toolbar and I now have an annoying tool bar under the Firefox toolbar making the usable screen area shorter.

Is there any way I could remove it? I have tried all the toolbar options but there isn't anything here that helps.

No idea.
you could always uninstall AVG / FF and then re-install it?

AVG is a bit of a bugger for stuff like this. It only lets you set the settings you want at install.

so delete and re-install

Its very good for a free product

Thanks for the heads up! I've been putting off the 8.5 upgrade its been moaning about.

Its worth upgrading bongman, 8.5 is a lot more fluid and has more functions.

You should be able to disable it Tool->Add-ons->Extensions.
