A crazy, but good friend of mine, has decided that on his 40th B/day he would like to cycle from our home town of Princes Risborough in Bucks, to Tenby in the far reaches of Welsh Wales. We have allowed 4 riding days for this and altogether will be a party of about 10 middle aged should know betterers.
It is planned for May 2012.
Has anyone got any advice on either route, accomodation or anything else you might feel helpful
Thanks in advance

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Earlier this year I did Oxford - Gloucester - Cardiff over two days. Not the most direct of routes, and not the flattest, but I can pass over the GPS tracks if it would help.

Risborough to Oxford is easy (start on the Phoenix trail, then go north of the A40 via Stanton St John). There are people around here who can help with S Wales.

An alternative would be via Bristol and the Severn Bridge.

I've found the easiest route over the Cotswolds is roughly to follow the Thames west of Oxford - Farmoor, Stanton Harcourt, Bampton, Lechlade, Down Ampney, Ashton Keynes - then climb to Malmesbury, over to Horton, down off the hills north of Yate and you're primed for the Severn Bridge.

What I suggest you don't do is what Google Maps advises if you select the walking option (which normally just keeps off the motorways and is handy for rough cycle routing) - you'd need a passport! Otherwise, it looks like roughly 200 miles.
