My brother heard it 6 miles away!!

People in Wythenshawe heard it!!

People in Chorlton heard it!!

I live about a mile away - didn't hear a thing.

Gridlock in Irlam this morning tho; glad I was on the bike.

(needless to say, best wishes to anyone involved and hopes for speedy recoveries)

He's positive... besides, Wythenshawe is farther than that and there are reports of people hearing it there (scroll to comments). Must have been one helluvva a bang for sure!

We heard it in Urmston - my Eldest was just coming in to our room to see if we were getting up when we all heard the bang/rumble. None of us could figure out what it was and my Wife even looked out of the window to see if it was anything on our street... never gave it another moments thought though until I saw it on t'internet.

I didn't hear it. But I'm well over 100 miles away and the wind was blowing the sound away.

Never seen so much traffic like i did this morning,just glad i did not bottle it and go in the car.Saw it on the news at work,looks like a bomb had been dropped on the houses.

Call that a bang, now Buncefield was real bang ! They heard that one in the Netherlands !
I was on a ship in dock in London over 100 miles away and the ship rocked !
