How much will a bike shop charge me to change a back wheel on a road back......

I only ask because never done one myself and changing over the cassette and all that I can see it being a pain

You may be charged a mininum fee e.g a half hours work.

Its a dead easy job even if you haven't done it before

Search Youtube, its not a pain if you have the right tools: chain whip and lockring tool and possiblly an ajustable spanner (depending on the lockring tool). What is a bigger pain IME is waiting for a bike shop to do something when you want to ride immediately :rolleyes:

A good shop shouldn't charge, if you are a good customer as its only a 5 min job however, but a cr@p shop (aka Hellfrauds) could charge more and take a while over it.

Agree with the others. It's a very easy job to do. Even the most cackhanded, hamfisted like @martint235 can do that job :laugh:
And shout out for any local CC'ers for some help to show you how it's done.

JohnBoy, what town are you in. As has been suggested someone on here may well be able to help you out with know how or instruction.
