Erm It was a long time ago I must have had a Dawes Audax I had probably just got it and was about to ride to Germany, actually it must have been before the euro2008 Germany in it (that wasn't why I was going!)

Either that or before that and it was an Orbit America.

Good memory.

I did get to Germany ok, drank lots of beer then flew back as it was bit lonley cycling by myself. I also spent 3 weeks mountain biking in the Austrian and French alps, good summer But ever since I've been jealous of the commuters on the continent with canal cycle paths and less bad drivers
