If he mistimed it and the lights went green early with the cars pulling away, it's simply a case of slowing, indicating left and the car behind should then allow him to filter back through to the left before they pass him. Yes, I know it's a 'should' but the majority of drivers will acknowledge the signal and allow it.

Being very familiar with the Bridge I don't see anything wrong. You can do that or wait. I think the greater thornier question on that bridge has always been what do you do when it is absolutely gridlocked scenarios (which as people who have ridden it will know and how narrow it is).

Nice and easy, you wait in the line of traffic or detour around by the river and walk over the Scarborough bridge :smile:

Ahh, Lendal Bridge. I spent a few years whizzing over that.
