That wasa shocker. He was running like I do when he crossed the line. When he didn't show up on the line I thought he'd dropped out. He was working hard on the swim and did a lot of work, too much in hindsight, on the bike trying to get everyone else to move. I've seen him trying to organise things before and he likes the group to work but the poorer runners hold back and at Hyde Park they hung back too much. The attacks at Madrid kept coming on the hills bt Hyde Park is too flat. It's on my list of future triathlons now though :-)
You can't accuse him of not giving his all.
Windsor was on eurosport this evening. Looked a bit strange on the bike leg as the roads weren't closed. Pro triathletes and camera bikes mixing it with cars, vans and horses. You expect it with age group races but draft legal races with groups of cyclists don't work too well on public highways
