Why would it? Perhaps you're thinking of the old dry sticks you grow peas up, this is not the same thing at all. In many Eastern counties, bamboo is used as scaffolding. It's very strong and resilient, light, and sustainable.

Bamboo bikes are old news, I'm afraid, as a search for 'bamboo bikes' on the forum would show you....

Giant bikes have been around for yonks. Didn't know they had a model called the Panda.
