I eventually ordered and have now received my posh bamboo boxers.
On the plastic bag it says to wash separately from other clothes .
There is a symbol with 40 shown.
When i do my wash I chuck everything in and the setting is "daily wash" (103 minutes).
So again showing my ignorance, why does it have that instruction ?
I'm guessing its just a way of protecting themselves in case anything goes wrong.

No need to separate, I wash mine with other clothes. 40 refers to temperature so I wouldn’t wash above 40 degrees. I wash everything at 30 degrees, no need to wash at higher temperatures.

TBH i have no idea what temperature my normal wash is. As I say, I use "daily wash". I must check that.

I think that's just to protect them against the often cited Drago v Hotpoint case of 1976.

Eventually they settled out of court but the windows had to be left open for a few days afterwards.

I remember that case as reported in NoTW. He tried to Sue Hotpoint as the washing machine blew up. He admitted he had worn the same y fronts day and night for 6 weeks and the case was thrown out of court.
