Apparently you aren't supposed to have bare knees when out cycling if it's below 16 degrees, that is the rule for everyone, no exceptions.

At least that's what I was told this morning.

Discuss.

Shorts on the bike until it's about 4C then I'll consider longs. (10C for a FNRttC cos of the hanging around). Shorts out and about down to about 12C or until the OH says she's not stepping foot outside the house unless I put long trousers on.

If it is 16 degrees Kelvin we are talking about - or minus-430.87 degrees fahrenheit - I am fully in agreement that longer, knee-covering apparel should be worn whilst cycling.

I would probably do the same for 16 degrees fahrenheit.

But 16C? Nah...

[PEDANT MODE] If its Kelvin, its absolute, so its not measured in degrees. [/PEDANT MODE]

If it's cool enough to put a coat on the greyhound, it's cool enough to wear my 3/4 length shorts or my longs. Not sure what the temperature actually is, I just go on a day by day basis. I am thinking that there may not be many shorts days left this year though.
