I'm a big Waldemar Januszczak fan, and, although this is a repeat, I wouldn't miss it for the world. WJ is made for the baroque! (the exclamation mark is obligatory). His enthusiasm, coupled with a 'look, look, look at this now' approach is ideal for art that just doesn't know when to stop.

So................if you've got an hour to spend, put on your silk dressing gown, jam a Sobranie in to your cigarette holder and have the butler bring you a knickerbocker glory.

Not so sure about that but I've been enjoying Howard Goodall's latest programmes on how music works. Fascinating. And he was in my class at school.

Hmm.. Not really roccoco enough pour moi.
hey, Hotblack! As a member of the Fragonard Fan Club, I can see where you're coming from, but even you must agree that a bit of Borromini before breakfast does wonders for the soul and the digestion......

The cavity is perfectly shaped to accept steak and kidney pies. I'd just love to have the opportunity to tackle one that fits the cavity.

I really enjoyed WJ's series about the Dark Ages.
I did too, but I thought that it wasn't really his home turf. He seems more at home with big, lumpy, fleshy stuff.
