Hi Folks,
My name is Barry, and I have cycled for more than thirty-five years. All sorts really, commuting in London, racing on the road and track (loved it!), training in the UK, Belgium, France, Holland, and Italy, and cycle touring in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, the USA, Indonesia, and Thailand. I have a small collection of road bikes, a track bike, and a tandem. And there's a few I wish I hadn't sold!
Back in the nineties, I spent a couple of July's following the Tour de France on my bike through the Alpine and Pyrenean mountain stages. Happy memories. These days I cycle for fitness, and love to follow bike racing on TV. Who would have dared dream of a British yellow jersey holder leading out a British world champion on the Champs-Élysées? It still gives me goose-bumps.
