Base Layer?

Looking at buying a "proper" base layer for a while as i use an adidas t-shirt atm, Tenn outdoors has them cheap but dont seem to have them in stock often, searched ebay and came across these

I've got a few and I think my Aldi running base layers are the best value for money of them. I prefer the Giordana string vest one in the summer though. Of the ones you've linked to I could be wrong but as they are thermal I think they'd be too warm.

I've given up on nylon base layers. I have three of these. I love merino and these do the job, they are very cheap and wash OK too.

No problem - and for the fitting problem, just eat a few more pies!

Think they only have sleeveless ones left aswell, just need to wait till short sleeved ones in my size are back in

Endura baa baa, i wear it even when i am not cycling, most comfatable thing i have ever worn, a little bit extra money wise but well worth it.

They be ok.. That's what I used for my last tour ,am using rigth now and was going to using till I ordered Marino. I have the Aldis ones but made of the same stuff.

I can just about tolerate it, I have a Endura Baa Baa long sleeve one that is used more in winter time.
Good kit, can be worn a few times without smelling, washes well with no shrinkage.

I find that poorer-quality (= cheaper ) merino can be itchy but the more you pay - the less the itch .

Mrs Scoosh has a very nice Howies LS zipper base layer which is very smooth and non-itchy. Too small for me, though

I just got a terkmates long slleve Marnio to and its supper soft,, no itching,,go outdoors £30
plus I have some nice Marino socks £8 each got 3 pairs. They are the best socks I have every had.

You have to look around and do your home work. You can pay lots of money for crap. Then on the other hand find something that is cheap but works great, But some times you just have to pay for the best.
