Cyclist 'critical' after attack


A cyclist has been left in a critical condition after being attacked by four youths while he was out riding. Surrey Police said the 39-year-old man suffered serious head injuries during the assault in Cox Lane, West Ewell, at about 2130 BST on Tuesday.
He was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south-west London, where his condition was described as critical.
Officers said his attackers were thought to be aged in their late teens or early 20s.
They have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

+1 You could kind of understand a drug addict or someone being opportunistic and nicking the bike but just battering someone for the sake of it is low!

Why do they never do it to someone that know ninjitsu or something?

I hate all the chavs and random kids who shout at you while your out.

One thing I don't get is that a bike is faster than a person, unless he cycled into them, but I would pay to have to opportunity to cycle full belt into some thick no-hopers.

I hate them too, this morning going to down a road at the start of my route I saw about 6 chavs, one on a bmx, I heard them laugh and I was thinking "if only I had spikes on the front of my bike... if only"
