Writer and broadcaster Samira Ahmed is fascinated by photography, both historically and in the present day. Her episode of Artsnight will consider the impact that a single photographic image can have - even in a modern age when nearly every person has a camera on them at all times and photos are in endless supply.

The programme will focus on a series of brilliant British photographers. They include Giles Duley HonFRPS, who lost three of his limbs while documenting a warzone in Afghanistan, and Richard Billingham, who has made a film with Benefit Street’s Deirdre Kelly ‘White Dee’ about his parents, whom he has extensively photographed. And Martin Parr HonFRPS will create a specially commissioned work just for the programme.

The programme was filmed at Bradford’s National Media Museum.

Will set that to record. Thanks for sharing.

Note to self. Dust the camera. We are off to a wedding in an hour, they might like some nice piccies as I bet Hubby to be has forgotten to book a photographer. Better put battery on charge right sharp too.
Thanks @ScotiaLass
