I am wondering if anyone can advise please.
My husband has been offered a second hand bike, a Specialised trisport, 56" frame, triple gear set (27 gears in all), 2009 model. Husband likes the bike and the bloke selling says to make him an offer as he has no idea what these go for second hand. Bike is in nice nick, its been out about twice in 09 and hasn't left the garage since he moved to his current house a year ago.

If anyone has an idea of what to offer him, we are all ears.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like £1200ish brand new. If the guy wants it off his hands offer him £350 / 400 I think that is a good starting point.

I recently picked up a second Tricross 09 Sport in good condition for £300. IMO £300 to £330 would not be far off the mark.

New in 2009 these came in at about the £850 mark (Tricross Comp £1100 +), lower if purchased on a C2W scheme.

If you mean Tricross Sport, these were indeed much less than £1200 when new. I'd agree with £300.

Thank you.
I was thinking there or thereabouts but OH was thinking more like £500. He's newer to this cycling lark than I am.
I will let him know. Can't see the seller going for £300 - £350 though, I think that he is thinking in terms of £800, he didn't mention a price and we said that we'd do some research.
If the seller would take £300 to £350, that is right in Hubbys ballpark, money wise.
Thanks again.
