Either the new triban 3 or the carrera TDF would get my vote. Both solid bikes for the money and both excellent bikes that ride well. The tdf is proven to be a bike that is built to last and whilst the red triban 3 was a slightly better bargain with its carbon forks, both the white t3 and the carrera tdf beat it in looks in my opinion.

The white T3 would look so much better without those silly pink/red hoods. xx(
On a riding note if you live anywhere remotely hilly the T3 has a much wider range of gears than the TDF which has a standard double.

Not here offten enough to argue
i would steer clear of the TDF too - standard double is not good for hilly area's unless your an aspiring road race pro or an internet racer who rides a fixed
53/11 like some cc'ers would have you believe

I had a Carrera Virtuoso(only 2 front rings) for years and i managed to struggle up the hills around here though it took some effort. I must've looked cumbersome, as i saw a bloke last Saturday climbing one of the steepest climbs around here,he was on a Carrera TdF and he was stood up,heaving at the neck, giving it welly to get up that hill!
The TdF looks wise is an attractive bike, but only to be used for the flat stages!:heat:
