I get quite sad when I realise long standing and valued contributors just leave without any commitment. Sometimes it takes months to realise they have left.

Flouncing is good.... Nothing better than starting a 'I'm Leaving Thread'
You can get everything off your chest by typing out a long winded diatribe about all the posters you hate and the forum in general. You can then sit back reading the replies, hoping that there will be posts begging you to stay.
After a while you realise you dont really want to leave. So you dont leave and carry on posting, claiming that you're only staying because of your friends on the forum, making up some BS that you've had loads of PM's to save face.
A year or so later you can do it all again.

There have been a few flounces (one as alluded to above, quite spectacular), but the people I tend to miss the most are the ones who just slip away quietly. I often wonder about what happened to them and if they are still cycling, or even in some cases still alive.

Sorry folks. Although we don't usually have a problem with threads started to reminisce about former members it doesn't reflect well on the community if it's about who spat their dummy the furthest. On that basis this thread is now closed.

Calling your mod team stasi isn't particularly polite either.
