Best laid plans..

Week started out good on the Sunday getting out early with grandson followed by another solo ride on Tuesday.
Wednesday took Christmas presents to elderly aunt and then the week suddenly changed. Got back from the visit at about 6pm and went into kitchen to put kettle on for a cuppa.
Didn't have to go to the tap to get water as there was enough dripping from the ceiling, great.
Quickly turned all water off etc lifted floor boards and took down sodden part of ceiling.
Being a tight was and also trying to get a plumber out this time of year I set to to repair everything.
And just this afternoon with the help of my daughter I finally finished by repairing the ceiling.She is even going to plaster the part of the ceiling for me affected next week.
So I have missed today and tomorrow is shopping day so hopefully on Tuesday I will try to stick to my cycling programme yet again.
Oh better not to have said that given the title of this thread.
Just in case I am not back on here till after Christmas, Happy Christmas to everyone and I hope you all get everything you want.

But she'd probably charge a fortune to drive up from Eastbourne to West Yorkshire to do your plastering!

Ahh well could be worse
Im off the bike this weekend as i put my back out at work and now i have man flu so unless i can be strapped onto the bike immobile with a box of tissues ....
