Any thoughts? Need to cycle between the stations in March. Not worried about cycling in London as I used to do it regularly but I've forgotten a lot of roads and can't work out which route would be best?

For me, 'best' means simple (easily lost, me) and low traffic (relatively speaking, in London).

Thanks!

Don't know really but I think it's quite simple and shouldn't take too long.

Instead of going round Aldwych, I'd suggest turning from Kingsway to Great Queen Street (which becomes Long Acre) and a left into Bow Street (becomes Wellington Street). There's a set of traffic lights for cyclists going onto Waterloo Bridge from Wellington Street, it's a very popular cycle route.

Jay Clock - You have missed a critical item on this run, Condor in Grey's Inn rd.

Cathryn - I estimate whilst Jay Clock's route is probably about 2 hours faster and nearly £4,000 cheaper than the Grey's Inn Rod route, it's not nearly as much fun.

A visit to Cordor bikes is as near as you will to Bike Porn.

I guess if you are early for your train at Waterloo, there is always Evans which has 2 shops within a 100m of the station one in The Cut and the other on Waterloo Rd .

+1
But be on the look out for pushy drivers on Bow St.
