Was out and about earlier today and saw this beautiful, duck egg blue bike. It was love at first sight. I know nothing about Bianchi bikes except that they are Italian. I am a bit of a beginner as far as road bikes go and was thinking of buying a Spesh Secteur next year, but now I've seen this I'm thinking maybe this is what I want, but will it be too extreme for me? Whaddaya think?

My first proper road bike was a Bianchi, which I bought a few years ago.

The colour is called Celeste.

They are beautiful bikes. It's a lot faster than my hybrid too.

One difference between that and the specialised is there will be eyes on the specialised to install mudguards/racks and other monstrosities whereas there are none on the bianchi.

A Bianchi won't necessarily be any more 'extreme' than the Secteur, they're a big brand and produce a whole range of bikes. If you were considering a Sp Secteur because of the fact that it offers a relatively relaxed ride position (as opposed to a bike with a more aggressive racing geometry like the Allez) then you'd be wanting to look at Bianchi's C2C (Coast to Coast) range of bikes which are all built with a similar kind of more relaxed fit.

How much are you thinking of spending on your new bike? It's expensive but Bianchi's new Infinito C2C bike is f*&^%£@ stunning!

Agreed, that is gorgeous, but a bit out of my price range at the moment sadly!
