A professor is he?

He should know better than to release assumptions without fully working through all the data , should i get my brother with a phd in maths + chemistry ( hes a professor at Durham uni ) to send him the facts ?

From a quick skim of the abstract, his argument is that people who live longer on average, such as cyclists, cause more environmental damage by virtue of living their consumerist lifestyles. Therefore, if you cycle in a really reckless, dangerous way, you will benefit the environment. See if you can kill a Porsche Cayanne driver in the same accident.

The Prof. has a point though, doesn't he? Anyway, anything that challenges dogma, even if the challenge is wrong, has to be a good thing, surely?

It is a point, but it's a bit like Judge Death's point in the 2000AD comic: people commit sin; kill everyone and you stop sin.
