Bike storage

Hi & Good morning to all!
I have a small studio and 2 bikes - MB and a road bike. I am tring to find the most practical and space efficient way to store them. I have been contemplating a ceiling hook.
Any other ideas or suggestions? Storing my bikes outside is not an option due to theft, humidity, landloard's generous plant watering... etc.

Mine (2 in my flat/bedsit) just lean against the sideboard - I've mastered getting to the drawers by tilting the bikes forwards. The rack of one makes a handy waist level platform for the 4 gang socket I use for phone and battery chargers.

Although which ever is my daily use bike of the season does live downstairs in the lobby.

Hooks are useful - just make sure they go into a good solid joist. You can also get pulley systems, a bit like the old clothes airers.

Used some special plaster board plugs to mount it

Glass wall cabinet. By day, it is a commuting machine. By night - a piece of artwork. A conversation starter. A wall adornment. And it'll stay dust free.

I can't tell whether it's entirely freestanding, or whether you need to secure the top.

I'd recommend hooks to hang them from the ceiling - I have three bikes put up that way- I use the decathlon hooks which are really cheap but they only take items up to 15kg unless you use two hooks to support each end of the bike and hang it on the wall.

I'd post a pic but not at home to take a photo.

How does it stay up? It says no permanent mounting required.
