My ShePingle drive was starting to get on my nerves and causing some near clipless moments so I decided before the winter hits I want to do a path up to the front door for the bikes .
Now I had seen a load of block paving going from plot to plot at the allotment over the last few years but no one had ever done anything with it . So I asked its new owner if he wanted to sell them .
£30 was agreed and after an hour every day for the last few weeks this is the result ...

I now just need to order some new shepingle to fill in the gaps and make it look pretty .

But that's not the end . Oh no !
3 doors down had seen what I had been up too and decided to redo his driveway . So he lifts the flag stones and askes If I can use them  I could have used them three weeks ago to do a bloody path up to my front door rather than all this time laying silly little bricks !
so the flag stones went to the allotment
Im actually glad it worked out this way though as the front of the house will look rather nice when finished and its a nice feeling to get home to a tidy garden :giggle:

I think it's pea shingle. Nice job by the way.
Yeah I know but the trade name is shepingle , silly names for things make the day go faster ^_^
The problem I have now is the gable end needs painting as it has peeling paint :shy: I have the triple ladder and the paint but my arse starts flapping when I go up that high
I don't mind going on the roof or on scaffolding but up a ladder :stop:
Thankyou BTW

What class of boat is that you're sailing?
Its a 1962 race power boat I refurbed . I don't race it and the only time I put a 25hp outboard on it I shat my pants  It was made for a 60 HP
I now put an 8hp outboard on it and use it as a day boat .

The shape it is way you have it covered I thought it was a sailing dinghy, with the line down the centre being the boom and mast just out of shot
