bike wanted for hadrians cycleway

I am looking for a bike suitable for the above ride
It is for my son who is a keen mtb'er and his current ride is not suitable
Looking for a decent hybrid or cyclocross in a Medium'ish size
Boardman pro hybrid, cx team, specialized tricross, trek 7.5fx or 7.6fx are all being searched for on the radar.. if you have one for sale, or anything of similar nature in good clean condition, please let me know
We are in the NW and will travel a reasonable distance ( 100 miles maybe ) to view and pay cash
