What retailers can you buy from?

Giant Defy 2 is always a recommendation, or a Cannondale CAAD / Synapse (depending on whether you want a relaxed or more tail up geometry)

Neither will leave you with anything for the shoes though (a retailer should in theory offer you some pedals, at least discounted)

Cooksons - I'd take a butchers at this based on spec - carbon fork a must and Tiagra gearing - not that they give the spec!

http://www.cooksoncycles.co.uk/bikes/road/mens-2/aluminium/2013-giant-defy-2-compact/

there's an £850 Trek, Tiagra but can't tell if it has a carbon or alu fork

Leisure lakes seem to have almost nothing in an alu/carbon on their site! Just an under specced and overpriced Specialized Secteur for £650

You'll need to check the T&Cs on the C2W - you may not be able to buy anything you want accessories wise (normally 'meant' to be spent on 'safety' equipment)
